    Nighttime Skincare Routine

Back in February, I posted my morning skincare routine with all intentions of following right up with the nighttime version. However, things didn’t quite work out that way (clearly 😛 ) Between finishing up products (yay!), the change of seasons, and trying to break bad habits (makeup wipes!!), my PM routine was in some sort of limbo. I didn’t want to share my process without having a consistent one for at least 6 weeks, and I’m happy to report, three months later, I got one! Products may change here and there, but the steps remain the same. For the sake of time and filming, I only included my current routine…

    Beauty Closet Declutter

If you are like me and derive pure satisfaction out of seeing organized spaces, stay tuned, you’re in for a treat! The Kondo-madness continues in the Bitta household and my latest conquest was the Beauty Closet. Before I shared this area on Instagram, I had no clue what to call this space in my Master Bathroom…Linen Closet/Toiletries Closet. Thanks to you guys, my #BittaFabFam, it’s the Beauty Closet now! This space was always awkward for me, I wasn’t sure how to arrange and display all of the skincare, haircare, and beauty accessories that I keep accumulating (it’s a problem, I know!). The worst is when I go out specifically to…

    Morning Skincare Routine

This post has been a long time coming, both because I have been planning on writing this for a while and also because it took me a long time to develop a skincare routine. Up until my late twenties, my routine, if you could call it one, consisted of two items: an oil-free moisturizer with SPF 15 and a jar of cleanser. While there is nothing wrong with either of these items, they stopped addressing my skincare needs long before I stopped using them. In my previous skincare post, I mentioned that I have dry skin. I had just about gotten used to the tight, stretched out feeling that comes…

Taming the Mane, Part II: Product Edition

Happy New Year, BittaFab Fam! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season and enjoyed the last bits of 2018 to the fullest! I know I sure did 🙂 I soaked up family time, became older and wiser 😉 , caught up on movies and was generally lazy, in the most satisfying way! Now, I’m re-energized and raring to kick off 2019. My main goal is to continue working towards building this community where we can share products/tips and discuss our interests freely. To that end, I would love to hear more from YOU, so don’t be shy! #GoBittaFabFam! Back to hair: Last we left off, I told you…

    What’s my skin type?

Generally speaking, people typically fall into one of four skintypes: normal, dry, oily, or combination. As I’ve mentioned in previous posts, I have dry skin. Over the years, aestheticians have pointed this out to me at facial appointments. I would always respond with a ‘but I moisturize daily…” and it wasn’t until quite recently that I started to actually address this issue. (I’ll be sharing my skincare regimen soon!) But, simply put, that’s how I found out what my skin type is. For those of you who don’t know your skin type and don’t feel like getting a facial just to find out, you are in luck! I came across…

    My Autumn Sephora Haul(s)

Note: By total coincidence, this post is going up just as the Sephora Beauty Insider Holiday Hooray Event is starting (11/29-12/12). If you’re in the mood to shop but need a little inspiration, check out my recent purchases!  Am I the only one who finds a sale hard to resist? I could be completely satisfied, without a single consumeristic thought in my mind, but the second I see that Sephora is offering 20% off for VIBs for two fall weekends in a row…and then again for another (magical) extended weekend…I can’t not participate! As I had mentioned with my most recent Ulta haul, I wait for these sales to stock…

    Amazon Must Haves!

Like every true, card-carrying millenial, I am addicted to Amazon Prime. I’ve been Prime-ing for the better part of the last two decades and it’s only gotten better with time! Two–day shipping has become my way of life. And let’s not get started on how many boxes my husband and I have to break down every week to keep our house from looking like UPS Prime has become such a phenomenon that it’s all over YouTube as well! So, it’s no surprise that after non-stop binging YouTube ‘Amazon Favorites’ videos, I want to share my must haves, too! My picks are kind of random and don’t fit into any one category,…

My Trick or Treats – Ulta Haul

How was everyone’s Halloween? Score any good loot? With beauty sales and gift sets galore, how could I not share my latest haul with you? As you probably can already tell, I am no stranger to Ulta. I shop there frequently, promotion or not, and often just for the sweet satisfaction of a beauty acquisition (#addict, I know!) However, anytime there is a special beauty sale (like Ulta’s Platinum Point Perks 20% off sale that just passed), I inventory and create a tactical strategy to get not only the best bang for my buck when it comes to my tried and trues, but to also take this opportunity as an incentive…

    Taming the Mane

My hair and I have always had a complicated relationship. Growing up, my hair was super thick, long and straight (I could sit on it) and the sheer weight of a high ponytail would give me headaches. In middle school, I donated 14 inches (I still had what most would consider ‘long’ hair) and then, all of the sudden, I had texture. Bye bye straight, shiny locks, hello frizzy, poof ball. I had no idea how to wrangle the beast, nor did I try. I kind of let my hair do it’s own thing until high school when my curly haired friend pointed out that I, too, can have curls.…

    Squeaky Clean Brushes

If tinted lip balm can be called a gateway “drug” into the broader world of makeup, then I would have to say that buying my first set of makeup brushes could be considered the turning point that set me up to become a total makeup junkie 😉 For several years before I had brushes, my collection, if you could even call it one, consisted of a few lip products, eye liner, and mascara. While the acquisition of brushes definitely opened up a whole new world of powder products and application techniques, it also added a whole other level of commitment to my beauty game: cleaning said makeup brushes. It should…
