Lately I’ve been having a good luck streak when it comes to finding cute and versatile summer dresses and I just had to share! I’m throwing in a skirt and jumpsuit too; something for everyone 😉
As I’ve shared on both here and on my Instagram feed in the past, I’m all about finding multiple ways to style and re-wear one piece. And I especially love those pieces that can go from casual, running around with the kids to fancy, date night with the hubs with minimal effort.
I decided to mix it up when sharing these summery dressy pieces with you – don’t mind the silliness 🙂 Can’t take things too seriously, right? After you watch the video, keep scrolling for details about the clothes/shoes/accessories.
Look 1: Red Floral Cami Fit & Flare
To keep this dress casual and on-the-go friendly, I paired this with a cardigan tied around my waist, my favorite blingy white sneakers and rattan/tortoise shell + shell earrings. A super chill vibe, good for daytime.
To amp this dress up a bit, I removed the cardigan and swapped out the sneakers for some gold mule sandals. These always bring the drama! Added in a summery white necklace, and voila, ready for date night or a night out on the town 🙂 !
Look 2: Black with Gold Striped Maxi
Starting out a bit cas here, with my most favorite (these are my second pair!) sandals, with a touch of gold, and my wardrobe staple denim jacket. I left the maxi flowy. This is a great maxi dress for petites because you can easily wear this with heels (I’m 5’2″ for reference).
Switching it up by belting the maxi and adding heels, to elongate and highlight my figure. These heeled mule sandals are so versatile, don’t let the bright gold scare you!
Look 3: Floral Smocked Skirt
Skirts are versatile all on their own – you can pair this with a graphic or pocket tee, flats and a denim jacket for a more understated look or a silky cami or blouse with heels, like I have, to amp it up a bit. Love these double hoop statement earrings to add a bit of interest.
Look 4: Swing Dress with Floral Embroidery
When the weather gets warm, I live in cotton swing dresses. There is nothing easier or more comfortable to wear. These flatter all and can be styled so many ways. Here I dressed this skirt up a bit with heels and fun earrings, but you can easily throw your hair up into a messy bun and pair these with flats for an equally adorable look!
Look 5: Wrap Floral Midi
I love a true wrap dress, they can be so figure flattering. Wore them all throughout both of my pregnancies, and this top has a button at the base of the neckline to make it a great nursing option too! This dress has some really fun raw edge ruffle detail and can be styled to work at the office, date night or for a casual day out. Just switch up the shoes and tie a jacket around your waist and you’re ready to spend a day exploring the city.
Look 6: Tie Strapped Swing Dress
Sadly, this exact piece isn’t available anymore (found this on Final Sale at Altar’d State), but there are so many like it (linked under the picture) so I didn’t feel too bad sharing. Here I am in my most natural state, messy bun, easy dress and flats. This would be a great 4th of July outfit! This could easily be dressed up with heels and coiffed hair (:P ). You could even belt this at your natural waist for a bit more shape.
Look 7: Smocked Jumpsuit
My new favorite outfit category is rompers and jumpsuits. This cotton jumpsuit is so comfy, it’s like wearing pajamas in public. Doesn’t get much better than that! This outfit is so versatile, the style options are endless, but I shared three. Keeping it casual with statement earrings and flats, dressing it up a bit, beach style, with shell/white jewelry and neutral wedges, and dressing this bad boy up with gold bling! So many ways to go with this petite friendly number!
It’s so fun to play with restyling outfits, helps to maximize your wardrobe without taking up any extra space at all! Now, I kept this relatively simple by only sharing necklaces, earrings and belts as far as accessories go. You could go all out with scarves, bracelets, rings and hats to really add to the possibilities. If you get any of these pieces, please do share how you style them. Nothing is more inspiring than seeing your dress through someones else’s creative eyes 🙂
Hope you guys enjoyed this different style of sharing summer outfit inspo. Let me know what styles you’ll be rocking this season 🙂 !
