I attended a beautiful outdoor wedding this past weekend and used this as a great opportunity to shop my closet. In the days leading up to the wedding, I had no idea what to wear and turned to the wonderful IG BittaFab Fam to help me decide. In the end, however, I went a totally different way 😛 It was still awesome to see what everyone liked and to engage with so many awesome followers.
This is what I ended up wearing — a beautiful floral lace midi dress that I bought a couple of years ago. It was totally perfect for the occasion and it’s for spring and summer, in general. You can easily dress this up with accessories (like I did) or go without and wear it more casually for a brunch or picnic – basically this is a really great staple piece for your wardrobe! It’s super inexpensive (under $40) and comes in many, many colors, so you can find the one that suits your style best.
To balance out all of the color on top, I was excited to wear my new nude heels. This low heel is great for an event with kids and for dancing! The soles were cushioned and even though the toe came to a point, the actual toe box was perfect for my wider feet! I love Trotters for stylish and practical wide-fit shoes.
Call it the desi girl in me, but I love pairing scarves, or shawls as I call them 😉 , with dresses for an event. Not only is it practical, especially for an outdoor event, but it adds a little something extra! I fell in love with this piece from Nordstrom last season and it just so happened to coordinate with my dress and the venue perfectly, yay 🙂 This exact one isn’t still available, but here are some similar ones from the same brand, Calson. My pink and white crystal necklace is a throwback from Ann Taylor.
What are your go-to wedding guest outfits and accessories? I’m thinking to increase my shawl collection, I can’t seem to get enough of them lately 😉
